Kifo is a machine-troubleshooting assistant for factory operators, made by TwinUp. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, why, and who else sees it.
Kifo is not a consumer app. Accounts are created by your employer, and you cannot sign up on your own.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your phone number, or your email address and name if you sign in with Google | To identify you and confirm your employer has authorised your access |
| The company and plant you belong to | To show you only your own company's machines and conversations |
| The messages you type, and the assistant's replies | To answer your question, and to help the next person with the same fault |
| Which machine a conversation is about, and when it happened | To search the right manuals, and to show your supervisor open issues |
Who else sees your data
To work, Kifo sends some data to other companies who process it on our behalf:
| Company | What they receive |
|---|---|
| Anthropic | The messages in a conversation, to generate the assistant's reply |
| Voyage AI | The text of a search, to find the relevant manual section |
| Supabase | Stores the database holding your account and conversations |
| Google Cloud | Runs the server the app talks to |
| Confirms your identity, only if you choose Google sign-in |
Your supervisor, if they are a lead technician at your company, can read conversations from your company — including yours. They cannot write into them. They cannot see any other company's conversations.
Where your data is stored
On servers in the United States. If you are using Kifo from another country, including India, your data is transferred there.
How long we keep it
Conversations are kept for as long as your employer uses Kifo, because past resolutions are what let the assistant help the next person with the same fault. If your access is revoked, your account is deactivated and your past conversations are retained as part of your employer's maintenance record.
Security
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Sign-in tokens are held in your device's secure storage — the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore.
- Access is restricted to your own company's data.
Your choices
To see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask for it to be deleted, email us at the address below, or speak to your supervisor. Note that your employer owns the maintenance record, so some requests may need their agreement.
Children
Kifo is a workplace tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
